Cool idea. I have silver or I should say a dusty silver on every ride rear rim

I am trying to come up on how to do this with out drilling any holes in plastic. I think with all of us putting our heads together we will definitely probably be able to come up with the perfect solution
@supermoto292 you can try looking at the two rigid mounting points at the top (taillight's) and at the bottom (bellow battery to frame). This will require a longer deflector and a little more fab work for some brackets.
@roadog1aj approach is the easiest way by far. It's that very question I asked and comes back to what are you comfortable with. -

Great idea @Ruptured Duck!!
Also there are a line of Torx screws going up and down both side panels back there. You might be able to whip up some brackets that would use a couple of those as mounting points?? Just a thought though, because I don't know how sturdy those mount points would be.....worth a look!!! The D-Mod is not heavy at all, but you have to look at all aspects to limit the law of unintended consequences!! -

Good Lord!!! I try to get a little shut-eye, and look what I wake up too!!!!! You all are quite the bunch of whipper snappers.........and god how I love it!!! When a thread gets de-railed around here, it's like a right of passage..........you know you did good by how fast, and funny the de-railment is!!!
I'm just kinda surprised @Tripod has missed out on a good de-rail so far............ -

@Tripod - never misses and opportunity to be Tripod!

@roadog1aj I think those small fasteners could be used if combined with true 3M high heat automotive tape. Prep and use of a good promoter would insure the tape does not pull away. The fasteners would only be needed to retain the pressure and would not be needed for a structural aspect.
Would it be OK if I explore this idea a little?

RD _ was thinking of doing it using threaded insert fasteners
I am pretty sure I can find them in Black Plastic, if needed at a later date you could fill with a black plastic screw, some of these require a tool to install them but with a little research I think we can find a good fit...Here are some plastic ones
Ok that was fun I am going back to work now -
-
I bought the kit to install them - use them all the time
I like the idea of not drilling but I think there will be too much wind buffeting, maybe 4 attachment points will help. But the primer will discolor the plastic anyway so just as easy to use a fastener. (just my anal outlook)I love the concept of the part, the design of the SS wastes so much usable air flow.
-
discoloration would be an issue. Good point.
