If I put a scales under my rear tire, what would the weight be without any riders or driver?
Rear weight

Perfect! 600 pounds it is. Thanks so much!

Hmm... I'm curious...

MiM Slingamajiger, I'm fine tuning a custom made tow dolly for towing the SS and needed the weight of rear wheel as I'm considering utilizing a roller thrust bearing to support the weight of the trunion cradle that the rear tire sits in. Needed the weight for sizing the thrust bearing if I decide to go that route. Just a FYI, the cost of materials to fabricate the dolly is approx 400 bucks. Includes idler bearing and spindles, rim and 15 inch tires (5 on 4 1/2), hitch coupler, 2" sq frame, straps and ratchets and misc hardware.
I can pull my SS on the dolly with my Honda Pilot with no problems. No wind drag if using enclosed trailer, only lose a few miles per gallon, tounge weight is about 70 pounds. If you can lay down a weld and have access to a metal fab shop, it's worth it if your on a tight budget. Sure beats $2-6K for purchased trailer! -
Oh heck yeah @scootertrash! Tight budget, yes! Interested in towing, yes! Weld, no... Metal Fab shop, no...
But will travel for tow dolly... Lol... Keep us updated here... Sounds interesting!
My towing would be few and far between. Roughly 350 to 500 mile trips every so often...

Just saw this on YouTube...
To the more knowledgeable... issues, concerns?

I like this Dolly. Sleek & easy design. Contacting the poster to see if he would be willing to share the design specs.

You didn't noticed the trained Crane watching betcha?
-
-
I saw it, but assumed it was decorative.
-
Wait....do you have one of these Nemesis? No, that's a red one
-
No sir....wish i had but at the same time wouldn't like to leave the Enterprise unprotected like that.

That's easy... "Shields Up!"

If you do find out, I'm very interested... This and a cover, good to go for short trips.

Seen this at the DS.

Yeah, I was thinking a set of rigid 'arms' with a tarp cover for stones. Just to create a deflector of sorts.
Not sure how well a Slingshot cover would hold up being towed backwards.

@scootertrash, did you get this thing into production yet? Taking orders? Please?
