OK with all the talk on the Boosted side, how about us?? What do folks think about the E3 plugs?? Here allot of good thing from the race car guys.
Spark Plugs E3

no knowledge... will do some research. Honestly the proper heat range is what you really want to look for in a plug.
Interestingly I have an original B17 bomber spark plug from 1944... guess where e3 got there design from .
-
I put them in my Jeep and had horrible results. After contacting E3 and doing a lot of research, apparently they didn't play well with the canbus system. The system was reading the spark output as a misfire and causing it to cut off the spark signal to those plugs at random. Thru ended up refunding me my money for them with a letter of apology.
However, a friend put them in his old Chevelle, and loved them.
Personally, I would probably try them again, but not in a heavily computer controlled vehicle.
Just my 2 cents. -
Joker so u wouldn't use them in the SS ??
-
Personally, I wouldn't. Simply from past history.
But don't let my opinion guide you.
Their customer service is very good if you do have a problem.
Do a lot of google searching and read reviews would be my suggestion.
Good Luck! -
I hear allot of good things in hot rods, and they say good about other types of vehicles as well.. HMMM Just to find a part # then maybe I'll give them a shot.

TCB I put a set of them in about 800-1000 miles ago. Haven't seen any dramatic difference. However, on a trip down through Houston in traffic 50-60 I got my best mpg average on that tank. This was at a birthday party, gave rides to several people. This included burnouts & slides around corners. Still got just over 28mpg.

-

OK thankX! I emailed E3 and was told E3.74 was the cross reference for our AC DELCO 12625058
-
Yes you are correct. 3.74 is the plug to use. So sorry, I had a full blown dumb as moment. I have put e3s in several different motors & confused myself. Possibly from chronic exposure to certain chemicals in my youth
-
You guys should try Brisk plugs. They are all i use on my bike and do make a difference.
