Greasing the U-joint (if yours has one) some newer Slingshots don't have this grease fitting.

I have greased mine now 5 times. The first 3 times I only popped the rear cup holder and it was a pain to get the needle seated. The last 2 grease jobs I popped both cups and greased from the front cup while looking in the back cup. That made it a piece of cake to seat the needle.

So were did u find that needle fitting?? My Auto Zone don't have any.. grrr..

And what is the purpose of keeping this greased? Forgive my lack of mechanical knowledge...

I think we need a picture of @rabtech in front of his machine with the largest ratchet he can find and a shit eating grin ..... unless that's been done before @slingking

Did my 10000 mile sevice today and popped the cup holders out to get to the u-joint. I discovered a new tool to remove the cup holders that works better than a screw driver. Use an RTIC 30 oz tumbler to get the cup holder out. Put the tumbler in the holder and push it sideways, the cup holder pops up, put an object under that side and push it the other way, it's out.

Just greased mine again at 25k. Could not find a cup so just popped with screwdriver. Either way it makes the whole process take about 5 minutes from start to finish.

Yep, I did it recently, with the right tools, its very easy to do and takes 10 mins, I was wondering how often, I will do it every oil change, thank you for the response.
