Has anyone tried a compact sub under the seat?
Compact Subs

I can't imagine even the slimmest sub working under the seat. You have 2" or a little more that 2" to work with. By the time you purchase any shallow sub that is quality you won't have room for a box.
-
I'm talking about the all in one compact Subs. It looks like Alpine, Kicker and Kenwood make one that could fit. You have almost 3 inches about 8 inches back with the stock seats. I'm going to measure tonight before I order one.
-
I have 6.75 subs in the side pods and they sound great, but who doesn't want just a little more. I'm not putting anything in the storage compartments, so I'm thinking of trying this out.

Not enough room for the periscope.

So far my research shows that this is the only one that will fit Kenwood KSC-SW11. It appears we have close to 3" of space 7.5" deep available. If anyone knows anything different let me know before I order from primenow.com LOL

Where are you taking your measurements at? There isn't 3" at the back of the seat. It is only 1". With the way the brackets are made the seat slopes down towards the back. So, at your 7.5" deep mark you are only at 2.5" of height. I'm with @rabtech on this one. I don't think it will fit. Give it a try though.

I'm measuring from the front as it slopes down. Yes in the back there is probably only 1"
-
I just checked my factory seats as they are out of my sling and at the 7.5" deep mark from the front your at 2.5". So, the sub enclosure would be pushing up on the bottom of the seat. It is a rubber cover and is flexible.
-
Using my scientific measuring tools I think there is enough space. I wish a little better sub would fit, but the reviews on the Kenwood look promising on multiple sites. I'm still researching though. Sorry for the dust. I guess I need to clean under the seats more often.

Looking forward to seeing the results @RadioDR hell I don't know why you couldn't raise the seats a 1/2" or so if necessary.
I thought of that, but didn't want to mess with the passenger position. I still use double bubble or Ripper Shields. The length on the other subs would raise the seat up at least an inch. -
@jaycanter has used a couple under the seat "low profile" subs. He can probably add to the conversation.

I tried 6 to 8 different subs, the one's listed below were from amazon they fit under the passenger seat(some from the local sound shop also) and they sounded ok setting still with stock exhaust, but wasn't there above 20 mph. then added turbo and exhaust nothing can't hear them. Then january i put a 10" rockford in the drivers side door you can hear & feel it at all speeds and sounds good. don't waste your time just do 1 in the door and it'll be night and day difference.
It was 59.00 for the Rockford Fosgate P1S4-10 Punch then $119,00 for the

2 inches to spare on length. Sounds great sitting in the garage. It's an open air vehicle so like my Harley with its 10 speakers it still will probably sound horrible at 80mph. I just want a good clean sound as I'm driving around town. I'll give a full report after this weekends ride.

FYI. I love this little sub. Easy installation and sounds great. If you aren't looking to put subs in your storage compartments then you should try this.

Sounds like we need a video!
