  • Last week on Tuesday, we set a record for the high. It was 90. Not that we would have noticed, as it's been mid/high 80's for some time before that. Thursday, the high was only 60. Been in the 50's since, and pretty much high 40's to 50's are all the forecast calls for the extended forecast. We went from middle of summer heat, to late fall temps overnight. This scraping the windshield (forgot to remote start the car this morning) kind of bites.... Is it spring yet?

  • Quote from bjk81: “I let @Goats_Hogs drive my Slingshot which was embarrassing after driving how smooth his rides. But after I got back in my short fat ass couldn’t barely reach the pedals. ” Not that I mind being tall, but it's a real challenge to find something that I like to drive that also has enough leg room! Truck works, but gets pricey to drive when gas jumps up, as I drive 300 miles a week just to and from work!

  • Me too @DER! I have passion about many things in my life. But I know one thing for sure, not only does my Sling get the mod money, it gets the miles also!

  • I'm 6'4" with 36" inseam. I have the PRP second gen seats. They will give at least 1 1/2" more legroom (I would guess more like 2"). I've had a couple issues with the quality of the outer material in them, but even if I had them reupholstered in better material it would be worth the increased comfort in leg and arm room for me. If the 5'10" rider only needs a quarter inch, PRP will have them with over an inch behind the seat and be comfortable. I did add a 5/8" gel pad to the bottom seat cover f…

  • Very sorry if I added to the stress @studiopeg. I've been in some of the same, but not as recent. Dad had Parkinson's, and was well into stage four when we found out he had colon cancer when it perforated out and he got styptic. He had been in bad shape for a few years with the Parkinson's. He passed in 2011. Mom had severe rheumatoid arthritis. We were caregivers to both. She passed in 2016. The other I haven't had. But on the caring of close family and the stress that comes with it, I'm very a…

  • No vendetta. You suggested that it was Harley that had that photo. Burly's name was cropped out, I just showed the original photo and others to reference that it was from Burly. I didn't say you did it, nor even imply it. Honestly, I just find it very ironic how this whole thread is about prejudice on this rally's behalf, one that was run by a dealer. Yet there are so many things said about Harleys in this thread that are very biased and prejudice towards Harley and or the riders/owners. Most in…

  • Quote from studiopeg: “Personally I think it's is irresponsible for a them to even publish pics like this, even while the purpose of it is to manipulate men... slingshotinfo.com/index.php?at…0318a8987a9e43d0ad1cd9024 ” I agree to a point. However, Harley had nothing to do with this photo, it's from Burly Bars, a company that specializes in handlebars, cables, wiring for the bars, and shocks along with a few other products. This is Nicole, she's also known as @Sportster-Girl. She's one of the mod…

  • Quote from studiopeg: “Quote from Goats_Hogs: “1) It was an all inclusive ride. They included the Slingshots, but you didn't care for where they decided to put them. 2) I'm a bit fat, goatee'd, tattooed. Not sure about gut busting or disgusting, opinions vary... but I think most that know me would say I'm a pretty good guy. Of the guys I see in the Harley shop around here, that described about at least half or more of them to look similar to me. We are the everyday riders, and that's part of wha…

  • Quote from studiopeg: “Well, this was an all-inclusive ride to raise funds for muscular dystrophy. Every brand "welcome." I would think there would not be any prejudice on behalf of the organizers. But I was naive. I did this ride for a few years when I rode my Harley. Never saw a problem then. Or course not.. I can understand on a large ride grouping vehicles. But to exclude their own brand.... while saying the rest of us -- even smaller vehicles -- were an obstacle while their brand was not...…

  • Quote from BKL: “Florida man crashes Lamborghini, flees scene in a Mercedes-Benz - Autoblog ” Stolen car #1, over to stolen car #2.... that's my guess.

  • We went from summer to late fall this week. Was near 90 Tuesday, Wednesday brought rain and mid 80's, yesterday was 57 on my way to work, and still 57 on my way home from work. This morning was 37, with a high of 51 late this afternoon. Nothing in the 70's is predicted for the next 2 weeks. I'm thinking we've had our last hurrah for this year.

  • Happy one to you @airoutlaw! Enjoy your day!

  • Quote from hunter: “Last night with help from my son we installed the rear fender ,air foil and light strip that i bought from SlingMods.. Looks great everything works great....But they do leave out a few problems that we encountered in the instal video . Like when you bolt the 3 bottom bolts you have to somehow find the blind holes that they go into and that took the longest and most frustrating part of the job....They also show the tinnerman clips sliding right in, Nope if you don't bend them …

  • Quote from Goats_Hogs: “Yep, praying here! Even just at CAT 1 status, it will still dump large amounts of water as it passes. Hopefully all things stay undamaged, but the things can be replaced as long as the people are safe. ” This storm has strengthened greatly since I made this post! CAT 4 as of now, Hoping you have headed to a safer location! Once again, prayers for you and yours!

  • Yep, praying here! Even just at CAT 1 status, it will still dump large amounts of water as it passes. Hopefully all things stay undamaged, but the things can be replaced as long as the people are safe.

  • The off road side by sides have a one year warranty. The 2015, 2016, and 2017 Slingshots have 2 year, unlimited miles warranty. The 2019 also lists that same warranty on their website. I can't imagine that 2018 is any different, but I haven't found anything on that year. I don't know what year yours is, but I'd bet it's 2 years from the original sale date, no matter how many owners have had it. Wrecked/stolen/burned/flooded could have bearing on this. @mniron told me to try lifting the release h…

  • Wasn't on here much this weekend, and missed this thread! Happy birthday Marco! Glad you had a great day!

  • Happy birthday Jeff! Hope you had a great birthday, and many more to come!
