  • If the lights stay on with the switch disconnected, you have a ground somewhere. Our brake lights operate on a positive ground, meaning power goes to the lights and they are switched on when a ground is made through the switch. Give me a call and I'll walk you through it.

  • MeanSling Sport Top and rain?

After having a Bullet then a Meansling I can tell you I got a lot wetter with the Bullet style top. For function, I think Patrick's top far exceeds others on the market, and his price point is a lot better.

  • Our 2015 has Bilsteins and the 16.5 has QA1s. I really like the ride quality and feedback on the Bilsteins better than the QA1s. The only negative is the lack of adjustability which after many miles is not that big of a deal 90% of the time. If I were to have to purchase again, the Bildstein would would fall right behind the DDM shocks and ahead of the QA1s factoring in cost vs performance.

  • @dangerdarrell, look at the picture. I see the angled bends of a Ripper windshield. Nice work thinking outside of the box. This is how we modified for the first year or so before the vendors got on board.

  • I have an Alpha shorty header Ill be bringing with me from Felicia's Sling.

  • Quote from Ghost: “The ground work you guys and gals are laying is much appreciated. Hopefully one day soon we will have several track days to participate in. If there is any interest I can check with Barbers Motorsports Park. It's located East of Birmingham AL and is a beautiful facility that hosts a lot of big races and also a lot of track days for different groups and clubs. ” I will be there, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN.

  • Quote from Hodge: “Quote from chavey2: “Quote from Hernandeves5: “that is what I am going through. I have the clarion CMS5 and its absolutely junk. I do like that it Is waterproof, but I cant listen to the radio at all. and the only functioning part that I can use with at least some functionality is the blue tooth connection. I have to use my phone to play off of Spotify. no radio. I would love to go get a regular double din that I could replace it with, but I don't know which one to get and am …

  • 2 weeks till what? Hasn't 2 weeks has always been the timeline for it will never happen. 14 days, a Fortnight, 336 hours, 20,160 minutes, 1,209,600 seconds. Anything is better than saying 2 weeks in the Slingshot world. Are we there yet?

  • The SC has it's own oiling system. Some internal to the SC (Alpha) and some external (DDM). Simplifys the install.

  • Quote from MACAWS: “@jorgebri60 hit the nail on the head. You have to take the end result into consideration. I wanted a machine that would handle well with plenty of power when I needed it. My target was between 350 and 400whp and you can get that with either SC or TC. Having usable power and great handling is easily achieved with the SS because the base platform has both you just tweak from there. Now if you take my good friend @rabtech and this is a quote "All I want to do is lock my arms and…

  • Mitch, I really looked at joining. Just can't stomach 350.00 in gas to make the trip, its 1700 miles. Thank you for setting these events up.

  • Quote from edwardaneal: “Quote from MACAWS: “You can mount a Garmin Virb or any other GPS camera and go out and run the snot out of your SS Then play back the video thru the software and get your speed....with some reasonable back up. I do not have a smart phone or even know how one works but I bet there is an app for that as well Any one can do it....... ” I do not know how accurate it is, but I have an app on my iPhone called Gauges that has a gps speedometer and the ability to record it - I a…

Quote from Ross: “it's kinda funny right - it's just marketing. If we all would have waited for Polaris to come to us about the Slingshot I'm not sure any of us would be here now. There are lots of small vendors from craft beer to cigars to aftermarket systems that are happy where they are at and don't market but if we want something bad enough we find them. I can't fault how vendors wish to market it is there choice. We've had and have members who share once and are done and some that never sha…

  • And a good point for those who seem to only throw the shit around and not provide anything else to our community... Do your research about who you disparage from behind your keyboard. Jamie has been creating devices that make the sling accessible from a wheel chair. This took priority for a Vet since he last posted about the AC. Thankfully we have more people here who want to help more than hinder.

  • If the three of you are having withdrawals and need a little group therapy, you can join us at Eureka Springs in a couple of weeks. I know the sow will be there, how about the smurf and squid?

  • Quote from War Hoop: “Quote from funinthesun: “Jamie has a LOT of irons in the fire, so don't go ballistic on him. He's a great guy doing all he can to help bring alternative products to the slingshot community. The one thing he's proven in the past is that he's going to do all his own testing to make sure there are no issues when the finished product gets released. When it's available, I'm sure he's going to make that announcement and start shipping the product quickly ” I got no dog in this fi…

  • I would place a bet you could run faster with the MeanSling top on. The aerodynamics and how they stop the vacuum on the tail would remove a lot of drag.

Really? Can you not see that I disconnected them to show how they aligned? It was done to give a visual of how the holes are lined up with the wheels turned lock to lock. *#*@@@!!!!
