Contact F4 about a modified Gold WIng windshield vent. That should allow enough airflow to pretty much eliminate the problem, I'd think.

  • Pep Boys offers a Bosch AGM battery Group 34 that appears identical to the AGM battery Rural King offers. PB's usual price is around $200, but I've seen it on sale for as low as $140 or so.

  • If anyone lives near a Rural King Farm/Ag supply store, they have reasonably priced Group 34 AGM batteries, but if you have the smaller battery Polaris started shipping in mid 2016, you'll need a larger battery mount from SlingMods or DIY a custom mount.

  • Quote from 2W2X1: “If I was in the market for a static drop with full adjust-ability, I would take a long hard look at a set of viking triple adjustable coil overs. They have a set that will work with the SS and come in way cheaper than the other offerings. I had the parts all listed out and was tempted to order until I settled on air ride. Which ever way you go, upgrading the shocks make a HUGE difference in the way the SS performs and in over all comfort. ” Do you still happen to have the part…

  • Quote from MACAWS: “I have to say since I changed away from CAI with a shroud and gasket and added the DDM hood extenders my hood closes perfectly almost every time. I found that at least on my hood the gasket on the shroud for the CAI was pushing the hood up in the front just enough to mess up alighnment I do have the hood pins from @mniron which are a great extra peace of mind. Disclaimer: I have found when it comes to the SS no 2 are the same - so this problem could have been exclusive to min…

  • Quote from Bigdog: “Just found this info Faulty Oxygen Sensor Fuel Economy | MpgEnhance.com ” That article implies O2 sensors may need replacing as often as every 30K miles. I'd like to hear from the various Slingshot turbo kit manufacturers with experience with aftermarket turbos on Ecotec motors have to say on this subject.

It all depends on the quality of the hose. ” Take pics of your install, if you go this way. I like the looks of the hardware, except the hose. • I was cleaning my desk and came across these Survey questions from the survey Polaris conducted back in 2015. I thought people might like to see what Polaris had been thinking about as possible options/costs. See attached file. (The highlighted items were ones I was most interested in.) I found it interesting to go thru the list and identify which items or basic concepts have made it into newer models.

I assume you have a secondary fuse block since the main Slingshot fuse block is full. Fuse size is determined by adding the Watts each light uses and dividing by 13.8 (the typical voltage supplied when the engine is powering the alternator and then rounding up to the next sized fuse. As a theoretical example, figure 2 x 10W bulbs and 32W for the LED bar light, meaning 52W total, divided by 13.8V equals 3.8 Amps, so you'd need a 5A fuse in this example.

  • I actually like the overall lines of the Ryker. Just imagine if they designed a single seat, sit-in cockpit and kept the price and weight as close to $11,000 and 600 lbs as possible! I always rode my two-wheelers alone and rarely have a passenger in my Slingshot, so I'd definitely consider such a model as a potential replacement for my Slingshot.

  • Quote from War Hoop: “They'd have me sold if it would cut my grass too. ” Just mount your mower in front for maneuverability... Mounting it off the rear would just be too awkward.
