  • left Jeff a voicemail and filled out their online form last week. Summer holidays??? No response.

  • I did go to a local muffler store which does custom race exhaust and they only have car exhaust parts. They suggested that I look at motorcycle parts. I contacted supertrapp and they have no dimensions on there site and were not helpful. I have left 2 messages with vendors on this site and they have not return my questions. I will take a measurement tonight I know the quad end is 3" OD.

  • I broke down and installed a new muffler system at SSITRS to get rid of heat. It worked not bad but it is loud with all the noise coming around the licence plate. I would like to move the exhaust down to the rear wheel and put on a small resonator. I have filled out web forms made long distance phone calls to voice mail but have not received any help from the manufacturers on this forum. Any idea where I can purchase a small resonator. I see them as part of a system but only need that for now.

  • Hi Bill, Sorry I missed you in Vail but we will meet again. I was just wondering how to send all my single socks to you or now you have twice as many in your sock drawer so you may not need them. It seems every time I do laundry the Gremlins take one. Hope your doing well. We will see what is happening in September but last September ride finished with lots of snow the next day.

  • Quote from SlingLow: “Quote from Stairgod: “Are metric tools readily available in the US? ” That makes me wonder, are standard tools readily available in Canadia?Quote from edwardaneal: “You will have no problem getting metric tools in the U.S. ” We need 'em for our Slingshots. ” We have a lot of standard tools (Justin) in Canada but I watch CNN to see the unique tools in the USA.

  • @gooseman I saw a previous post about this and thought about it but I have a can of tire gunk instead of an air pump. Tonight we are loading up so we will see how much stuff gets left in the garage. I have the tire plug kit and I am debating about wrenches versus sockets. One thing I do know is if I leave something behind I will need it. Are metric tools readily available in the US?

  • @SSREAPER I forgot to tell you there is a health plan and you won't have to buy food for 6-10 years. Imagine hotdogs every Tuesday and Liver every Friday. That ishow I treat all my employees so well they never quit.

  • I rob banks and of course you can have a job. You start this afternoon. Go to your nearest bank with a full helmet on and demand all their money and send me half.

  • Hi @Ross I bought a ticket to support the cause but don't know if I will want to see my SS for a while after this trip so Sundre is still up in the air.

  • Thanks for the info . I am not big on photos @Ross but we are leaving Calgary going to Cold Lake to convince @Canoehead that his next wife would let him go alone on a trip with us. Then heading to Whistler British Columbia for Canada Day. Then work our way down the West Coast (Hwy 101) to Sacramento to Reno to Salt Lake to SSITR's then back home. Now that being said Murphy's Law, being self employed and the weather could change all of that. @Bigdog I will be sure to remember the torx. So if I un…

  • As I embark on my 6-7 thousand mile 25 day ride in the next few days. I realize that I will need an oil change and it will have to be done by someone other than a dealer. Should I bring my oil filter socket or will all quick oil change locations have the metric 34mm? socket ?(I am at work so I don't know the size exactly) I am bringing a set of wrenches, set of sockets, flat head screw driver, Phillips screw driver, tire plug kit,can of instant inflate, side cutters, buck knife, wallet and Good S…

  • After 3 years of babying my SS hood I took it to the dealer for a recall and decided to let them change the oil. Now my hood has a small crack in it. I know if I bring it in they will say they didn't do it. I have taken the time to balance up everything so the hood opens smoothly and it just takes one rookie to fuck it up when they just pull and pull. That is what pisses me off and gas at a $1.35 a litre or $4.05US a US gallon when I get 3 miles to the gallon in my motor home.

  • Quote from Canoehead: “First of all I thought Auf was trolling when I saw this thread . Had 2 too many close calls (on the lake guiding fishing) but the 3rd time was an indirect which tossed my ass about 10 feet. Wife saw the hit and couldn't believe how my 240 lb. frame got tossed like a hanky. Pretty freaky went and saw the Dr. and he figured it hit my head and exited my heel. I'm like no shit is that why my teeth are killing me and it feels like I jumped out of the box of my truck barefoot? N…

  • It looks like we will be making our way down the Pacific Northwest Coast from Vancouver on our way to SSITR next month and just wondering if there is anything that is a must for a tourist or a SS driver to see or do. I think Hwy 101 is going to be our choice hwy and we will be doing about 6 hours of driving per day weather permitting some sight seeing and lots of eating. Thinking Aberdeen first night, then Long Beach, then Coos Bay and last night Eureka before heading east but open to suggestion…

Good to know who in Canada we can work with and who is disappointing you. ” Hi Mike, Before I badmouth this Canadian company on the forum by name I would like to see the product and install it.(Sometime before Christmas) Needless to say if you order shocks and they say that they have to build them be aware that it may be some time to see them. However , I think you can read between the lines. On another note we are co…

@Canoehead you must know something I don't. Still no F#*@>>ing shocks yet today. The lying Quebecois B@#*^^ds. Maybe another 4 month wait. But that could be metric time. When they say 6-8 weeks do you double it and subtract 16, or is it add 16 and then double it. They need to hire a communications person as they have all the tools but don't know how to use them. Right now I am no very pleased. I hope the product is better than the customer service. If I run out of bolts I will use zip ties or go…

What ever happened to Attorney client confidentiality @Bill Martin. There is a difference between a sled and a Sling. We were talking about going to The National Park this summer but should we get legal advise first? Heading to the coast in a few weeks then work for a few weeks and then go south and maybe work our way to Colorado as I have a ice cold beer for you. I will keep it in my cupholder the entire trip. Have to do some juggling on schedules.
