@Cobra66man I have finally taken care of all but one problem. All of the lines and connections are sealed. I have 1 leak from the oil pan under full boost. This is the second time I have fixed the oil pan and both times it seems to come from this spot. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, guys.

Well guys, it has been 6 weeks and I still don't have the beast up and running perfect. I have solved a lot of problems that a shop created. Today's find was a cracked oil filter cap which was leaking down over my transmission. I removed the oil pan again and reapplied new gasket material and it seamed to fix most of the oil leak. I still think the fitting connected to the gravity drain line is leaking at high boost and may ask Bill for another one. However it is nearly impossible to track down …

@Cobra66man Did you loosen the turbo screws to clock the turbo? I had the same problem until I rotated the turbo more to move it out some then tightened the 6 turbo bolts.

i will say mine has a huge arch and it is no longer an issue. Just make sure that hole in the block is drilled out enough and everything is tight before starting up.

I got mine at the beginning of May. My car is getting all the recalls done and fixing an oil leak from my pan. Once I get it back i will be having some fun. I've had a few good pulls but the boost causes oil to leak excessively from the pan so I haven't been getting on it. Oil pan leak is 100% my fault.

As an FYI I am stating my personal opinion and not trying to coerce anyone to change their state of mind. Comparing Hahn to politicians is comparing Apples to oranges. Hahn should be more transparent on the forums but from what i understand he has been very helpful on the phone. Are you still waiting for your kit to be delivered @Neosolidus? If so, I am sorry that you had to wait this long. It does mess up the summer if you ordered in February expecting it to be delivered soon. I think I am the …

well today i figured out Bob's tune. If you don't shift like a mad man,you won't get the added fuel cut out and it will burn through 3 gears. I wish I could speed shift but you cant. The fuel dumps too much if you go too fast. If you slow down a half a second it loads and boosts like crazy. Apparently it you are use to turbos the time sucks....if not, you are good to go. I have an oil pan leak to deal with and then I am done. To be honest, I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I put myse…

@Casey_SS when I shift from 1st to second or 2nd to third too fast the motor bogs and loses power. There is no knocking but it sounds like mini popping. Not pinging but a muffled popping. I had a similar issue with my Audi when running 23lbs and it was the plugs. I am starting to rule this out as I have no problem with boost when driving and not shifting fast. I think it has to do with the BOV now. It vents way before entering boost and I think the car is dumping more fuel and creating an overfu…

Quote from BKL: “Here's a thread I started when I had a question about plug gaps and which ones to use with the Hahn turbo. I went with NGK 92182 Iridium plugs that were already properly gapped. Things still seem t o be running fine and the Iridium plugs for should be good for a longer interval than the old-style plugs. ” where is that thread? Lol

Quick update guys! It looks like the block not being drilled out was the problem. On my second test drive, i forgot to tighten down the gravity drain line so that is where my additional oil came from. I tightened it down and the car runs great. I need to learn how to drive as this is quite different than my boosted Audi. I seem to be getting spark blowout when shifting into the next gear hard and you can hear the engine bog and lose power. Easy fix. I can swap the plugs later. No more smoke and …

Did anyone's turbo come with a parts list? Mine didnt and I want to make sure i got everything correct. I just took off my gravity drain flange and I measured the inside diameter. Is everyone else's 13mm all the way through? The video said this is too restrictive and I am wondering if I got a smaller one. Still trying to figure this out. The recommend 19-20mm inlet with 13mm outlet.

as far as I can tell there is no oil leaking from the turbo or compressor. It is isolated to the turbo drain flange and below.

I am with you @rabtech I thought the same thing until I saw oil all over my muffler and frame. I assumed it was just burning off and it was until I entered boost and checked again. It's splattering somewhere. It's either the turbo flange from the gravity drain line or the connection to the gravity drain line. I am going to check to see if that gasket is causing problems and the drain a quart of oil. Hopefully this solves the problem. I am inclined to believe it's a drainage issue. Before it pour…
