So many great options you have! With everything installed, the best thing to do is to find a tuner that really knows the AEM software and get to them to spend some time on the dyno and street tuning it. Eat the expense, as it is much less expensive than some of your other options. Split the cost or sell your custom tune to the others that need it. The portfueler setup and the piggyback is a really cheesy mess to me. I am still trying to find the positive (other than looks) in this setup. I HIGHL…

As mentioned before, use thread sealant where you can. Especially on the block fitting. ptx-59214.jpg Good to hear you got it figured out!

He states the turbo is a Precision 5531. I would guess it comes with the .48 exhaust AR housing, but I haven't looked at one close to pay enough attention. precisionturbo.net/products/de…l-Turbocharger---5531/523 Pretty simple/basic when it comes to turbochargers... More info in the below video from the Hahn himself... youtube.com/watch?v=iOyJpuM_2xs

Your issue will not be fixed be dropping the oil level .5 or 1 qt. 5 qts is perfect, as you have less oil than the normal recommendation, as some is in the lines and turbo. If you were draining into the pan, this might be ok advice, but you are draining into the block above the oil level. I would personally skip this. Two things are probably left on your list and then it is time to just drive it hard and burn all of the old oil out of all of the places it shouldn't have gone. 1. Take off your in…

I would also take the 2 bolts off of the oil pickup tube in the pan and hammer it straight out with a hammer and flat head (wiggling helps too) to check the screen. It is simply just a press in fit with the 2 bolts removed. You will see what I mean when you have the baffle out. You are already going this far, mide as well make sure that you have done your due diligence in trying to locate all of the metal shavings. The pickup tube screen is probably the #1 spot on where shavings will be if they …

  • These are a couple that I like... Mobile 1 Annual Protection 5w30 Valvoline VR1 10w30 Rotella T6 5w40 All are different for different reasons, but you will find that they all get very good reviews and will work well in a boosted Slingshot.

What a shame! That is why I would rather work on my own stuff and risk breaking things while I learn. Good luck on the full refund. They did half the work, so they deserve at least half. ;)

You want the stuff just tight enough so it seals and doesn't leak. You don't want to go crazy on the tightness. Drain line seems normal from what others have posted, but you with need a Hahn guy to confirm as I don't run this kit.

  • Forget the stupid plate light. You need to get that thing running perfectly, so you can drive the wheels off of it! ;) v82-jpg.31292

  • A lot of these conversations lately. It is too bad... Soon, there will be no vendors left and no cool aftermarket parts to buy. Small guys making parts are great, but can only make so many items until they are capped out and can't keep up with demand. Wasn't everyone just bashing on Slingmods a couple of weeks ago?!? Now the "mob" is bashing on SlingshotOnly... It seems brutal in here with people "protecting" other members, but not knowing the entire story. Companies aren't perfect and there is …

You need to verify that your oil feed line is installed correctly and tight. It is obviously trying to feed oil to the turbo. You then need to verify that oil is coming out of the drain line. I would remove it from the block and put it into a bucket/pan and let it run very briefly to see if oil is coming out of the drain line. A lot of oil should come out and it should come out quickly. From there, you want to make sure you drilled your block correctly and there is no restrictions in the drain s…

  • Here was the record at some point, and may actually still be because not many people are taking them to the drag strip and many tracks wont allow them to run. • Can you tell exactly where? Maybe some of the hotside turbo bolts are really loose and/or missing. That happens on some peoples machine. ha

  • Your assumption is very good with cable driven throttle applications. When you go to a fly by wire throttle setup and loop everything through the ECM, the problems could be much more complex. Pedal position and throttle body position don't run 1-1 through the ECM. Bob's software shows you all of this. It is pretty interesting. Luckily checking fuel pressure is super easy, so it may not hurt to check even though it have been VERY rare for someone to have a fuel pump or filter issue. The stock fue…

  • Quote from Br4hm4: “Quote from Bigdog: “My van was making a mystery rattle noise....needed totally new exhaust system from the headers back...that included the catalytic converters. $1000+ ...the noise was the pieces of the converter media breaking apart ...pieces were to big to shake them out.. ” Since I switched to the turbo, the cat has been removed. Header seems good...Looks like I am going to need a turbo rebuild in due time as well. But the odd thing is...I can't figure out what in the muf…

  • Quote from ericastar76: “I’m trying to love my new Nitto rear wheel... there’s just not enough grip for the HP when I needed it most. Sure it’s quite... but I ran it really hard up in Maggie and found myself fishtailing quite a bit (even some of my vids captured it). For local riding (non aggressive), it’s a great performer (even handled really well in the rain). But for the twists, I may just have to buy another Proxes 888 315/30/20 and mount it before riding. Not worth loosing it to save a few…

  • Highly doubt the injectors are already having issues. Luckily for you, a ton of people like myself have extra stock ones that you can easily swap out. Most of these odd issues are vacuum leaks and/or electrical issues. I would lean towards something electrical. Maybe something in the fly by wire system...? Dealer or someone with Bob's software can plug in and see if the pedal position sensor and throttle body are still working in harmony. First step, put some gas in it and make sure your fuel in…

After reading about and pricing the Achilles Sport 2 305/30R18, I bought a set of Base wheels with the intent of having the rear wheel widened about 1-1.5", but now, the 305 seems to be in short supply, so I haven't widened the rear wheel.
