Vacations Over, Putting in work for MV

Many know I was the first in Michigan to own a Sling and 15 to 25 over all. Many also know I was "almost done" modding my first after 1 1/2 yrs. of ownership. I had a JonV turbo for 25 miles before blowing the motor. Then some of my Forum Brothers shipped my Sling to Alpha Powersport to do an engine swap. While there for the engine swap , @Painter painted me a valve cover and coilpack cover and sent it to Henry to install. The Alpha Crew put a cold air intake and my Pre-turbo Alpha side exhaust on for me. On April 1st about 4hrs into my return home from Alpha with my new engine and goodies I was caught in a blizzard and put my Sling ass first into the freeway wall at about 55mph. That totalled my Sling, yet preserved my pretty engine stuff and other mods of which I reclaimed before letting the insurance company auction it off.0402161326_HDR.jpg0402161326a.jpg

The "totalled" determination came from my insurance company and I had about a week to find a Black Base for the Summit Race Day on the 24th of April. Chris from Ball Equipment in Richmond, Michigan came through huge for me. He called in favors all over Michigan to get me one by my deadline. Thank You again Chris. I made race day, and it was Awesome!!! (until @Tango s accident at the very end). Henry and the boys at Alpha are fixing his up as I type.

I got back from Summit and left for Paris for 9 days. I returned yesterday and today I started the transformation of my second Sling.

I put Painters beautiful engine art in the day I got my new Sling. Today I put the Alpha CAI , Madstad bronze 9" blade windshield, Alpha heat shield, DDM Works transmission dust cover, Assault shift knob and Slingshot only.com floor mats. I also installed the very cool (Fab Factory?) license plate tuck bracket that @kenny_h threw in with the speakers I won from This Forum. Thank you to all those that helped me and gave me great things through all this, I Greatly Appreciate all of it.
